Reporting New Home Sales

As of July 2015, it is now required to provide an appraisal or valuation on almost all manufactured homes financed, including most new home-only transactions.

To enable compliance with these requirements, the industry's largest lenders are contributing their data on financed transactions to help build a robust database of comparable new home values.

This data, though extensive, only reflects the majority of the industry's sales that are financed through these lenders. It does not include the transactions of many independent financial institutions that engage in manufactured home financing, nor does it include cash deals or in-house financed transactions.

This is where we need your help.

In order to ensure the most comprehensive, reliable valuations, your assistance would be appreciated to help us record as many new home-only transactions as possible.

The following transactions are requested:

  • Only new, home-only sales
  • Transactions NOT financed through 21st Mortgage, CU Factory-Built Lending or Vanderbilt Mortgage (we are already receiving this data directly from these lenders)
  • Cash-only transactions
  • In-house financed transactions

If you wish to contribute a large number of transactions, you may also use the attached Excel spreadsheet template to provide us with the information we need. You are also welcome to use your own spreadsheet provided that your columns match up to ours.

Please note that when sending us a spreadsheet, we will need to have copies of the manufacturer's invoice and customer purchase agreement sent to us for each comp listed. You can send copies to us by e-mail, fax or mail.

Thank you for your assistance in helping us provide a robust database of comparable new home values. We appreciate your support of this important initiative.
